Performa adds fiat settlement, non-custodial wallets for SMBs

Digital-native SMB finance platform Performa has added non-custodial wallet support and fiat settlement capabilities to capture rising cross-border payment demand.

Performa has introduced a non-custodial infrastructure layer and fiat settlement capabilities to its finance operations platform, marking a major expansion one year after its initial launch. The upgrade allows digital-native small and medium-sized businesses to manage crypto and fiat money movements from a single workspace without relinquishing custody of their digital assets.

Initially focused purely on digital asset payments and over-the-counter access, the company has broadened its operational scope. Users can now receive payments, execute fiat settlements, send payouts, and control treasury flows through a unified dashboard. The platform structures its services into four pillars: receiving payments via custodial and non-custodial digital asset acceptance, sending bulk payments to vendors, exchanging currencies, and managing overall finances.

The operational workflow supports both custodial and non-custodial frameworks. Companies can register directly on the website and complete a simplified first-level verification process. They can then connect their own Web3 wallets in minutes to monitor transactions, manage invoices, and create payment links without moving funds. To access fiat on/off-ramps, structured OTC partner access, mass payouts, or API integrations, businesses must complete full know-your-business verification to unlock higher limits.

Infrastructure scale is a central component of Performa's market proposition. The platform currently supports more than 100 digital currencies. Funding is available in USDT or over 20 fiat currencies through traditional SWIFT and SEPA networks. Payout capabilities extend to more than 170 countries, with local withdrawal options available in 140 nations.

This product expansion targets a specific friction point in the global trade ecosystem. Visa research indicates that 75% of small and medium-sized businesses expect their cross-border payment values to increase over the next 12 months. However, 32% of these firms cite persistent obstacles, specifically high fees, opaque foreign exchange costs, manual reconciliation struggles, and a lack of visibility across fragmented financial systems.

To accommodate varying transaction volumes, Performa is transitioning to a more flexible commercial model. The platform now offers task-based pricing with product-specific fees, alongside custom terms designed for higher-volume clients. The updated system is live.
