Cube Highways Trust InvIT IPO Allotment Finalised Amid Strong Institutional Demand

Cube Highways Trust will finalise its InvIT IPO allotment today following robust institutional subscription, setting the stage for a cautious but positive market debut next week.

Cube Highways Trust is set to finalise the share allotment for its Infrastructure Investment Trust (InvIT) initial public offering on Wednesday. The registrar, Kfin Technologies, will process the allocations following a subscription window that closed with strong overall demand. This milestone marks a critical step for the highway asset owner as it transitions to public markets.

Data from the National Stock Exchange indicates the offering was subscribed 9.35 times by the end of the third bidding day. Institutional investors drove this momentum, subscribing their allotted portion 13.20 times. The non-institutional investor category also demonstrated solid interest, recording a 4.74 times subscription rate.

The trust priced its units in a narrow band of 151 to 152 rupees. Grey market dynamics have shown a gradual upward trend over the past 16 trading sessions, with the premium currently resting at 1.75 rupees. This positions the estimated listing price at 153.75 rupees, representing a modest 1.15 percent premium over the upper price band.

This measured premium reflects a pragmatic market environment for infrastructure assets. Rather than speculative euphoria, the steady grey market activity suggests investors are appropriately pricing in the stable, yield-oriented nature of highway toll assets. Market participants appear focused on long-term distribution yields rather than expecting an aggressive first-day trading pop.

For market participants awaiting the outcome, the refund process for unsuccessful applicants will commence on Thursday, 30 July. Successful bidders will simultaneously see their allocated units credited directly to their demat accounts on that same day. Investors can verify their allocation status through the Kfin Technologies portal or the official BSE and NSE IPO verification pages using their application number, PAN, or demat account details.

The InvIT is scheduled to make its official market debut on Monday, 3 August. This listing will serve as an important early indicator of broader institutional appetite for Indian infrastructure investment trusts in the current macroeconomic climate. A smooth debut would validate the InvIT model for monetising operational highway assets and could pave the way for similar capital market transactions across the sector.
