Mcap of nine of top-10 most valued firms erodes by Rs 2.74 lakh cr; HDFC Bank takes biggest hit

Last week was tough for the Indian equity markets, with nine out of ten leading companies witnessing a decline in market value. HDFC Bank took the hardest blow, suffering a staggering loss exceeding one lakh crore rupees. Reliance Industries also saw a significant decrease in market capitalization.
